As you may have seen on my facebook page, yesterday my focus was on … focus!
I was asked by two clients to create Pulse Point roll-on blends for them, which they could use as and when they needed them. Even though both clients are at very different stages of their life journey both blends were based on the need to boost those memory cells and focus on in! Pulse Point roll-ons are ideal as they are easy to carry around in a handbag or pocket and simple and effective to use whenever and wherever they're required.
With exam season around the corner, the first blend was formulated for a client who is working hard towards her A levels. This is such a stressful time for youngsters, with so much hanging on their results that I'm actually creating two pulse points roll-ons for her - more about the other one soon.
I don't know about you, but I think the pressure on them is far more intense than it ever was when I was their age (a conversation for another time perhaps!) and what with mocks and revision concentration, a clear head and the motivation to keep working towards her goal is what's needed at such an important time in her life.
As I mentioned, the other blend is for a client at a very different stage in her life.
I think most of us ladies of a certain age know only too well the dismay that comes with menopausal brain fog. Yes, it really does happen! Much of my time these days seems to be spent trying to find words which escape me, but are literally on the tip of my tongue. Clients who are concerned about their memory lapses are often told of the time I had to describe the big, white, cold thing in the corner of the kitchen containing food (much to the hilarity of my boys) because I just couldn't remember the word for fridge!
So I completely understand her need to try to clear the fog and possibly boost the memory and those energy levels a bit! One oil in particular sat there begging to be used for both of these ladies.
Rosmarinus officinalis - that's Rosemary to you and me.

Rosemary has been associated with memory for hundreds of years. Native to the Mediterranean region, rosemary essential oil is generally now produced in France, Spain and Tunisia and is distilled from the leaves, flowers and twigs of the plant.
Rosemary has many fabulous benefits, more of which you can read about from my September essential oil profile blog post here. It is well know for it's stimulating effect, both on the body and mind aswell as the spirit and is an excellent brain and nerve tonic. However, for these bespoke blends I used it alongside other carefully chosen essential oils for it's ability to aid clear thought.
Rosemary is a powerful oil which comes with safety cautions: It is not to be used during pregnancy or by people with epilepsy or with high blood pressure.
This pulse point roll-on is available for all of my clients and for those of you who are happy to complete a short consultation (this can be done via email if you choose), so please feel free to contact me.
